How to Save Hundreds or Thousands of Dollars on Cell Phone Service

I live in an urban area with excellent T-Mobile coverage so this works very well for me, but obviously do your homework before switching to this plan. Also, it is only available online, and they want you to buy a phone from them first. You don't have to. I already had my Nexus, so what I did was I went to a T-Mobile store and bought a SIM card there, and they also gave me an activation code. Then I went on their site and activated the SIM card and used my information from my Nexus phone to get it all set up without buying one of their own phones.
